SISF took part in final regional meeting on TB struggle program, organized by Project HOPE / USAID, which took place in the business center "Poytaht". The conference covered: the role of international partners in the TB program in Uzbekistan, implementation of the USAID project on TB carried out by Project HOPE in 2004-2009. Strengthening human and system capacity in TB control program.
On September 26, 2009 in hotel "Uzbekistan" an international conference «A comprehensive solution of problems of social integration of individuals with disabilities, inclusive education, and role of sport» was organized by the Social Initiatives Support Fund (SISF), Republican Public Association "Ayollar kengashi", "Forum of Culture and Art of Uzbekistan Foundation", Special Olympics of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection. Representatives of NGOs, representatives of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, ministries and agencies, UNICEF, UNESCO of the Central Asia, Special Olympics, UNDP took part in the conference. The goal of the International Conference - discussion of social adaptation issues and integration of children with disabilities into society, also solemn delivery to Ministry of Public Education of concept of the model of ongoing inclusive education in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
As a results of distribution World Business program on DVD, there was interest in establishing a partnership with the following organizations:
- European Association of Training Centers for Socio-Educational Care Work (FESET) - France
- International Council on Social Welfare Europe (ICSW Europe) - Netherlands
- John Hopkins University. Center for Communication Programs - USA
- Aga Khan Foundation - Great Britain
- Child-to-Child Trust - Great Britain
Feedback with other receivers of DVD will continue.
SISF in the frames on the project "MANAGER" jointly with the Ministry of Higher and Middle Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, CYI "Kelajak ovozi", DVV International (Germany) has conducted second round of trainings "Strategic planning and management" in Tashkent, Samarkand and Ferghana cities.
During the training participants received knowledge on following topics:
- Organization management. Project approach in the management;
- Values, vision and mission in the application in strategic planning;
- Meaningful environment and SWOT analysis;
- Rainbow planning;
- Stages of strategic planning.
It is planned to conduct next round of trainings during first quarter of next year.

In the frames of the project "Healthy youth" representatives of CYI "Kelajak ovozi" of Navoi and Namangan regions has conducted additional youth actions "We are for a healthy lifestyle - be with us!" on their own initiative, where more than 3000 people have taken part. Actions have been conducted in participation with local administration and sponsors. On the action young people received information about HIV/AIDS, STI, TB prevention and information on ways and means of prevention from these infections through interactive contests and games.

SISF took part in the meeting of the Joint UN team on AIDS. The meeting took place in the conference hall of representative office of UNICEF in Uzbekistan. During the meeting issues of cooperation in this area, as well as an overview of the latest news and information exchange on a technical level.
In frame of the project "Improvement of rural infrastructure" in the Rural Medical Center "Karankul" of Tashkent region 2 sq m solar collector for heating of water in complete with 200 liters storage container was installed.
Implementation of the modern technology using the renewable energy source will provide the uninterrupted heating of water which is not demanding additional expenses for the electric power.
The rural Medical Center "Karankul" provides medical services for 4583 inhabitants of Bostanlyk district.
Also it is planned to install the similar equipment in Rural Medical Center "Poshopirim" of Fergana region.

SISF signed memorandum of understanding with Tetra Pak (Sweden) company on joint activities in the frames of projects "Provision of micro credits for women farmers", "Healthy mother - healthy child" and "Design and introduction of National model of ongoing inclusive education in Uzbekistan".
SISF in the frames of project «Design and introduction of National model of ongoing inclusive education in Uzbekistan», in cooperation with Joint Venture «Nurafshon» and «Best Mebel» LLC, equipped a kindergarten №33 in Djizzakh and a kindergarten-school №26 in Navoi with children's furniture. Official granting ceremony of furniture has taken place in Navoi and Djizzakh cities. Representatives of regional khokomiyats, regional branches of national education, NGO representatives and press participated in granting ceremony.
SISF together with the representatives of regional khokimiyats and «OILA» center granted furniture to 10 young low-income families from Republic of Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, Samarkand, Bukhara, Navoi, Tashkent, Andijan and Ferghana regions.
