SISF took part in the online conference organized by the Fund "Forum of culture and arts of Uzbekistan". The conference was dedicated to the results of the year, effectiveness of implemented projects, sharing the opinions of the cultural workers and wide audience, as well as development of the main strategy and plans for the upcoming year.

SISF conducted Annual Conference devoted to the results of its activity in 2007. Representatives of NGOs, government and businesses as well as international organizations and diplomatic missions took part in the event. The participants exchanged opinions regarding the implementation of the Fund`s activities in 2007 and discussed further actions to support sustainable development of the SISF projects in 2008.

SISF conducted presentation of its activity within the frames of the first National annual contest "Woman of the Year" that was organized by the Public Organization "Women`s Unity". The finalists of the contest were invited for this presentation.

SISF carries out preparations to its Annual Conference and Awards Ceremony of partners and active participants involved in the projects in 2007.

SISF, NGO "Khayot" and "Dostupnost" Coalition conducted workshop in the city of Samarkand. The goal of the meeting is to develop plans for further realization of the project on "Introduction of inclusive education at schools and kindergartens". Representatives of the Ministry of people's education of the Republic of Uzbekistan also took part in the meeting.

Final version of proposal of law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on "Medical insurance" was prepared. Proposal will be sent to Oliy Majlis of Uzbekistan for further review.
October 2007
Realization of the "Warm houses" project has started in Kokand. This project is being implemented by SISF and Kokand Houses Owners Association. Currently 8 of 10 houses are equipped by autonomous heating systems, which are working in testing regime. After finishing of testing regime inhabitants of these houses will get hot water and heating.
September-October 2007
SISF has realized project on "Support of young low-income families". In the frames of project 70 families from 8 cities of Uzbekistan received various gifts, such as household appliances and TV sets.

Inclusive kindergartens and schools were opened in 6 cities of Uzbekistan - Karshi, Samarkand, Navoi, Djizak, Termez and Kokand under the joint project of SISF and "Dostupnost" Coalition "Introduction of inclusive education at schools and kindergartens". More than 20 disabled children are studying in mixed groups and classes created in these institutions.

SISF took part in the working group meeting at Ministry of Health on discussion of proposal of law of the Republic of Uzbekistan on "Medical insurance".

SISF conducted series of round tables in the cities of Karshi, Samarkand, Bukhara and Andijan. The goal of round tables is to present goals and objectives of SISF, presentation of current projects, as well as new projects ideas discussions. Reps of local NGOs, healthcare, education, mahallas and business of each region were invited to the round tables. Participants of the round tables gave several new projects ideas, which will be developed and implemented in future by SISF and its partners on regional and national level.

water pipe-line opening ceremony was conducted at the Uchsay village in the Muynak district, Karakalpakstan under the joint project of SISF and "ECOSAN" International organization. More than 1500 inhabitants of village have got the access to clean drinking water. Besides that, new asphalt road was built in village.

May - July 2007
SISF in cooperation with Association of credit unions conducted monitoring of the project on "Micro credit provision for women farmers". Meetings with women farmers received micro credits were conducted in the cities of Bukhara, Navoi, Andijan and Kokand. At present all of them actively work according their business plans.

SISF in association with International organization "PSI", UN Representative Office in Uzbekistan and Special Olympics-Uzbekistan at Tashkent Park named after Bobur conducted youth social action "We are for the healthy life, we don't have time for other things!". This action was the final event of the SISF`s project "Increase level of awareness regarding HIV/AIDS and drug abuse issues among youth". The main goal of the action is to attract youth to the theme of healthy life style holding, HIV/AIDS and drugs abuse issues, healthy generation training. Participants of the action took an active part in different quizzes, contests, football and ping pong tournaments and received prizes, and also they saw children's musical performances. All the participants of the action (more than 2000 people) mentioned that the action was interesting and useful.

SISF in association with "ECOSAN" International organization conducted monitoring of the project on construction of the water pipe-line for citizens of the Uchsay village in the Muynak district, Karakalpakstan. At present 75% of the project work is completed - water pipe-line reached the village, two reservoirs and pump station were constructed. It is expected that by September of the current year 1500 inhabitants of this village will get the access to clean drinking water.

in the frames of Special Olympics SISF in association with "Mehr Nuri" Foundation, Public Association "Women's Unity", Special Olympics-Uzbekistan, Special Olympics-Europe/Eurasia, Women's committee of Uzbekistan and Ministry of education of Uzbekistan in Bukhara city conducted Central Asian Forum "Inclusive education". Participants of the Forum exchanged the existing experience on inclusive education in Europe, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Also SISF made a presentation of "Inclusive education" project, which will be implemented in 6 regions of Uzbekistan.

Special Olympics took place in Bukhara city. The organizers of the Olympics are: Special Olympics-Uzbekistan, Special Olympics-Europe/Eurasia, government of Uzbekistan, khokimiyat of Bukhara region, SISF, "Mehr Nuri" Foundation and Public Association "Women's Unity". More than 300 athletes from Europe, NIS, Central Asia and all regions of Uzbekistan took part in the Olympics.

SISF in association with Special Olympics-Uzbekistan, Special Olympics-Europe/Eurasia, Women`s Committee of Uzbekistan, "Mehr Nuri" Foundation and Public Association "Women's Unity" under the Special Olympics in Tashkent city conducted "Family program" seminar. During seminar participants discussed the issues of additional development of Special Olympics movement in Uzbekistan, on implementation of inclusive education, on the work with parents of disabled children.

SISF in association with Fergana Valley Health NGOs network "SADO" in Fergana city conducted resulting conference under "Healthy mother - healthy child" project. Reps of education and healthcare systems of Andijan, Namangan and Fergana regions took part in conference. Results of the project, reports on conducted seminars were presented to participants. Participants made high and positive evaluation of the project and gave suggestions to conduct second stage of the project in other regions of Uzbekistan.

During March - April 2007 SISF conducted seminars on anemia, goiter, hygiene and sanitary for 12000 children and women of the reproductive age in the cities of Andijan, Namangan, Fergana and Kokand.

SISF in association with NGO "Salomatlik plus ecology" and public Association "Women's Unity" under the "Healthy mother - healthy child" project at City Park of Kokand organized "HEALTH" holiday for citizens of Kokand. More than 3000 people attended holiday.
