SISF is nongovernmental noncommercial organization with the goal to consolidate efforts of participants of “third section” for improving the quality of life of citizens, who need social support. Social programs and projects are being implemented according to this goal. They are financed by domestic and international donors trough regional and national level grants.
Representatives of international organizations, Microcreditbank, “Makhalla” Republic Fund, Credit Unions and the finalists of the project - microcredit receivers, and media will take part at this ceremony. This event will give start to Phase-II of the project.
Phase - I took place in 2007 year. It consisted of 2 stages, when 70 women-farmers from 7 regions of republic obtained 500 000 sums as a microcredit. “Start up capital” was formed at this stage. Then followed second stage, when additional 70 women-farmers obtained microcredits from 3 to 5 million sums each.
Participants of the project studied accounting, management, development of business plan. As a result, they created 185 new jobs and most of them developed new directions of businesses.
Phase - II is providing opportunities for development of businesses for 300 new participants from Djizak, Navoi, Samarkand, Bukhara, Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions. Each of them will receive 600 thousand sums as a “start up capital” from Microcreditbank.
21 most successful women-farmers, who are participants of the project’s Phase-I (there are 3 from each region), will be provided with credits from 1 to 3 million sums from SISF for further developing of their businesses at the Awarding Ceremony. Farmers will share their success stories to friends and guests.
In addition, Phase-II expects that 21 successful women will bring in to the project several young women, who will turn to the main participants of the project Phase II. And these young women will receive credits of 600 thousand sums each. This will provide them with opportunity to improve quality of life, which is suitable to the state program “Year of Youth”.
Women-farmers, who got support in the Phase-I will take part in “HR management and Fundamentals of Business” training. DVV International (Germany) is SISF’s partner at this part of project. The goal of training is sharing the knowledge and skills with new women by “master-apprentice” method.
Considering this, one can notice the uniqueness of this project. Master transfers own experience on how to setup own product processing, while an apprentice invests obtained credit in developing of this production. There is mutual benefit.
