The idea of the conference has been supported by the domestic and foreign NGOs, official structures and leading specialists from Austria, France, Germany, Switzerland, Israel, United States, Russia and other. Among them are representatives of the World Health Organization Representative Office in Tashkent, EUROPA DONNA The European Breast Cancer Coalition, major international pharmaceutical companies like «Novartis» (Switzerland), «Sanofi-aventis» (France), «Hoffmann - La Roche» (Germany), «Phazer» (Germany), «Ebewe» (Austria), «Femaklub» the Society to Support Women with Breast Cancer (Ukraine) and others.
The main objective of the event is to consolidate the efforts by the representative of the healthcare, pharmaceutical companies, government agencies and interested NGOs, straightening international cooperation in this field. Special attention is to be paid to the role of public organizations in solving this social issue.
One of the initiators of the Forum - the Community of Women Diagnosed with Breast Cancer became the common ground for the risk groups and patients on one hand and for and for physicians and physiologists on the other. Among active participants of the Community's activity are sponsors presenting financial aid in cure, rehabilitation and early diagnosis of the illness. The issues of early diagnosis are especially vital now because more and more fertile age women face the risk of breast cancer.
Recently the number of people with oncology illnesses is increasing in the world. The problem of breast cancer is one of the emerging issues in these terms. According to WHO, more than 1 mln. people are diagnosed with breast cancer annually and over 600 000 die from this illness despite the use modern technologies in diagnosis and treatment. The number of infected is increasing year by year. It is concerning that most of the patients are women in work age (45-60 years).
In Uzbekistan as well as in other countries breast cancer is one of the emerging issues. Annually over 2000 people got this diagnosis and more that 11 000 are currently registered. Expensive and long treatment of the illness demands special attention to the issues of the medical social rehabilitation. With this regard the cooperation of governmental and public organizations in this issue is especially vital. This problem, its solutions and activating the cooperation in this field are on the agenda of the Forum's panel sessions.
The International Forum: «Medical Aspects and the Role of Public Organizations in Breast Cancer Problems Solution», which has united interested NGOs, authorities, experts in healthcare and pharmacological companies provides the opportunity to enlarge the ways of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of oncology illness, improve the socio-medical and physiological rehabilitation as well as facilitate the implementation of modern achievements in clinical oncology.
